The Old Ellicott Cup

Year One was a resounding success. Hosted in 2022 at B&O Railroad Station Museum in Old Ellicott City, the bubble hockey tournament that is The Old Ellicott Cup was born out of sheer necessity.

There weren’t a lot of tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic region, but there were several leagues. In order to gather the best table hockey players together, be it Benej, Super Chexx, Stiga or other bubble hockey players, we decided to put together an event that would help us decide who the top dog was in our region.

An event that would not only gather our friends, but would serve as a calling card online to over 2500+ Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube viewers as well.

Penn-Jersey Bubble Hockey League's own Vince Mallett was crowned champion of The Old Ellicott Cup in year one!

In year one, Vince Mallett (pictured above) of the famed Penn-Jersey Bubble Hockey League was crowned champion in a tight contest over the legendary John Gaffney. The event was a resounding success and exit polls saw participants offering over 97% satisfaction ratings for The Old Ellicott Cup.

Year Two, Mallett repeated his year one success with a win over Greg Ginion at Oversea Distillery in Columbia, MD. The championship of bubble hockey’s finest tournament came down to the final game of the three-game series, with Vince slipping one past Greg in double overtime!
